The New Norwegian Arts festival
This is a national event that takes place every year in Aasen-tunet. The Festival offers a varied programme of culture activities with concerts, lectures and exhibitions. 29 June - 3 July 2005.   www.aasentunet.no

Hotel Union Øye

is the greatest cultural attraction in Ørsta. Build in 1891 and restored in 1991.

Norangsdalen 

has lakes formed by landslides. The lake known as Lygnstøyl-vatnet was formed by a rock fall from the mountain Keipen in 1908.

Sjøbuda Ramoen
is a renovated fish warf cobined with a Museum which shows a copy of the boat S/S Ramoen.

Ivar Aasen-tunet

was opened in 2000, and is a museum unique of its kind. The designer is Norway's leading architect Sverre Fehn.

The mills in Skorgeura

In Skorgura you will find 3 watermills.Here you can see how they ground corn in the old days.

Trollgjøttemannen
A legend claims that the image of the Trollman on the Nes-staven mountain was branded into the mountain when it was grazed by one of St. Olav`s arrows. Do you see him?

How do you get to Ørsta?

From Oslo:

E6 north to Otta, RV 15 to Nordfjordeid and E39 to Ørsta. Ferry between Folkestad and Volda.

From Bergen: 

E39 north. Ferry from Oppedal to Lavik, from Anda to Lote and from Folkestad to Volda.

From Trondheim:

Alt. 1: E39 south. Ferry from Halsa to Kanestraum, from Molde to Vestnes and from Solavågen to Festøya.
Alt. 2: E6 to Dombås, RV 15 to Nordfjordeid and E39 to Ørsta.
Alt. 3: E6 to Dombås, E136 to Ålesund and E39 to Ørsta.
Ørsta/ Volda Airport Hovden: 

Has daily flights to Sandane, Sogndal, Oslo and Bergen.

Train:

From Oslo and Trondheim you can also go by train to Åndalsnes, E136 to Ålesund and E39 to Ørsta.
